What can I do with a client with fine thinning hair near the fringe and crown area that wants a pixie? She wants a pixie because she's an older client and can't handle having longer hair that gets in her way.

Thank you for sharing this technique, Jake! I really appreciate the thorough explanation for us who are not hair experts. Just one suggestion, please use light hair heads when wearing a black outfit, or wear a light colored shirt when cutting brunette hair. Otherwise it is a bit hard to follow what you are doing or how the cut looks. Thank you! 💓

Love the channel. I would love to see cuts on mannequins with differently shaped heads, not the usual mannequin shaped heads, I feel they are "perfect": I would love to see cuts on different shaped heads with different type of hair and the various combos of problems. I don't want to be a negative Nelly, especially because your channel is super positive and optimistic and does uplift the heart, but I can't help thinking well of course any cut or style will look great on a mannequin with a great skull shape and even waves or curls (wavy all over not just wave in some places and straight in the crown for example), and great direction of hair growth, and also is healthy and not damaged. We can have unfortunate direction of hair growth that goes flat and doesn't allow volume in any direction because it keeps going to it's natural resting place, we can have a skull that is flat at the crown and don't get that lovely head shape that lends to hair that looks great with a volume cut. We can have a large head, an uneven head due to injury or birth, a scar where there is no hair creating an unwanted part, thinning in crown, thinning around face, unruly poofy hair, or super thin hair, or worse: the basset hound ears where the sides are thicker and fuller than the rest which is flat and has no root growth volume, so it appears like furry dog ears hanging around the face, creating a profile that is not as attractive as your mannequins. We can have a double chin, a strong nose, a weak chin, so our profiles do not look as nice as the mennequins. I find the mannequins from every channel are "perfect" specimens of women. They aren't fat or anorexic, or have any of the above described problems we have. ( There is also post chemo hair problems that involve hats, scarves, extensions, wigs, etc. and that is beyond hair cutting so it's understandable if that's best left to another channel who is specifically geared to that.) (there are also other issues like skin tone, rosacea or acne that change the colour - also perhaps for another channel. I don't know if a certain cut looks better or worse with a certain colour. Like a sharp bob on someone with certain skin and contrasting hair colour... etc.) Thank you for your great channel. I am confident you can do anything and fix any problem.

Wondering how you determine how to decide where to start cutting the Mohawk section in relation to the back. I saw you angle to keep hair longer toward the back but still was confused as to what guide you were connecting to. Also once you started to cut the back on top, it I was not clear where you picked up the hair and whether you were over directing or what. Your black jacket make it hard to see this part as well. Very nice cut and thanks for showing it on you tube!

I've been cutting my own hair since 2009. I really like the razor side because it doesn't look layered which is the way I wear the back of mine. I have also gotten interested in wigs the past several months! I've been trimming those. My razor comb came in the mail last week. Glad I found your video before diving in!! Thanks!

I like your energy and all but I think the way you explain how to cut hair is for people that already know how to cut hair, not for people that don’t know what they’re doing. If these are meant to help people with cutting their own hair (which I personally don’t suggest doing unless you’re a trained professional) but if that’s what these are for then they need more detail and to be slowed down and explained more.

Thanks for not showing the drying process cuz that would of helped. Hence the point in watching a video. I can read a book that tells me what to do but the point of the video is to show how to do it. It might seem simple to you but if someone is new at it then just saying what you did doesn't help.
